Satyr

This sculpture is made of sawdust, glue, planer and was created through cooperation through several projects for young people (click to culture in which we included students of the agricultural school, the project of the European solidarity forces – volunteers also worked on the sculpture, the school erasmus+ project). In this case, I was the mentor during the creation of the sculpture, but in the end I also did the final stage.

“In May 2023, the EU conference on sustainable development in education was held in Kinsale, Republic of Ireland. The host of the two-day conference was Kinsale Community School, and the event brought together educational representatives and employees from 13 different countries of the European Union who are also members of the working group as part of the “Strategic framework for European cooperation in the field of education and training in the direction of the European area and beyond”. sub-groups for education for environmental sustainability. The keynote speakers at the event were two prominent experts in their fields, Professor Paul Walsh and Lord David Putnam. Paul Walsh is a renowned professor of international development studies and director of the Center for Sustainable Development Studies at the University of Dublin. Lord Putnam is a successful film producer, a well-known educator and a prominent environmentalist. The conference also included several panel discussions as group discussions. Since the emphasis of the conference was on sustainable development in education and the creation of cooperation or partnership between the school, parents, local community, non-governmental organizations, the participants of the conference had a task on the panel led by Dr. Anne Dolan from the University of Limerick to present an object/symbol that represents partnership for them. The representative of Croatia showed photos of the sculptures of the Satyr and the horse by the Arteco Association and briefly explained the meaning of the Satyr, its origin as well as the origin of the sculptures that represent unique works of art.”
